The Hershey Community Chorus will present two Christmas holiday concerts with the theme “Cheers to 90 Years” to celebrate nine decades of music since the organization was founded in 1934.

The mark the milestone, the selections this year will be connected to the year 1934 in some way, such as music that was released that year or composers or performers who were born or died that year.

The performances will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at The Hershey Story Museum, 63 W. Chocolate Ave., Hershey, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Hershey Free Church, 330 Hilltop Road, Hummelstown.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students. Children under 5 are free.

Tickets can be pre-ordered from any chorus member, by emailing a request to info@hersheycommunitychorus.org, or calling 717-534-3712. Tickets are also available at the door. For further information, visit the HCC website at hersheycommunitychorus.org.

The chorus is 80 members strong and rehearses Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. under the direction of Matt Dickinson, with Karen Kline as accompanist. No auditions are held; participants must simply demonstrate a love of singing traditional choral music.
