The Lebanon County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities/Early Intervention (MH/ID/EI) Program is offering two essential training programs to help local professionals and community members better serve those affected by trauma and mental health challenges.

The QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Gatekeeper training program will be available on February 25 or June 18, 2025. This certification course teaches participants to recognize suicide warning signs and provide life-saving intervention. The program is open to anyone, including parents, teachers, healthcare workers, and community members.

The second initiative includes two linked workshops on trauma-informed care. “Trauma 101” provides professionals with foundational knowledge about childhood adversities and their long-term impacts. This three-hour morning session will be offered on March 11 or July 29, 2025. The afternoon “Trauma 102” workshop builds on this foundation, teaching specific skills for supporting trauma-affected individuals. Both sessions will be led by Jayne Miller, a certified trainer from WellSpan’s Arches to Wellness Program.

All sessions will be held at the Lebanon County MH/ID/EI office at 220 East Lehman Street, Lebanon. While the training is free, registration is required due to limited class sizes. Interested participants can register by emailing Monica.Boyer@lebanoncountypa.gov.
