Some movie nights will be themed, and we will encourage participants to get into the spirit of the film by dressing up or adding fun embellishments. This is for all ages!

Nickolas Sieber’s Traditional Jazz and Ragtime Festival at Trinity Lutheran Church of Colebrook

Nickolas Sieber, 25, of Elizabethtown, is pleased to announce his Traditional Jazz & Ragtime Festival, slated for Saturday, Aug. 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Colebrook.
Sieber’s festival will include performances from renowned artists, Miss Maybell and Charlie Judkins, duet, of NYC, Ramona Baker, pianist, of NYC, Gavin Rice, banjoist, of Rochester, NY, and the Blackbird Society Orchestra, of Philadelphia, PA.
In addition to music, professional dancers, Roddy Caravella and Gretchen Fenston, will lead a 1920s dance lesson of the Peabody. A social dance of foxtrots, tangos, swing, and more will run throughout the course of the festival.
Off the dance floor, the excitement of a 1920s lawn party will continue with pre-war car rides, a croquet tournament, fashion displays, and special guest R.W. Tintypes offering authentic 19th-century tintype photography sittings. Trinity Lutheran Church of Colebrook will prepare the bill of fare available for purchase.
“It has been my passion to share America’s rich history from the turn of the 20th century through WWII with my younger generation. Many people do not recognize that this was an era of exciting changes in music, fashion, architecture, art, and innovations. From hot new dances with jazz music to the thrill of the automobile, the Machine Era was a thrilling time to live in! Now, thanks to my festival, people will have an opportunity to experience the attractions of this forgotten generation!”

Mio Imai, 14, studies violin with Kimberly Fisher, the Principal Second Violin of The Philadelphia Orchestra. She is also coached by Grammy-nominated pianist Mark Livshits. Mio made her first appearance as a soloist at the age of 9. She has performed as a soloist with multiple orchestras, including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (U.S., 2025), the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra (U.S., 2024), the FVG Orchestra (Italy, 2023), and the Accademia d’Archi Arrigoni Orchestra (Italy, 2023-2024).
She won the first prize in the 2024 Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition (Belgium), the 2024 Stulberg International String Competition (U.S.), the 2024 MTNA National Competition (U.S.), and the 2023 Piccolo Violino Magico International Competition (Italy). Mio is also a former major prize winner at the Leonid Kogan International Competition (Belgium), the Ronald Sachs International Music Competition (U.S.), and the Chicago Violin International Competition (U.S.).
She played in masterclasses for renowned violinists and string quartets, including James Ehnes, Ida Kavafian, Karen Aroutiounian, Takacs Quartet, Paul Kantor, Sibbi Bernhardsson, Robert Chen, Juliette Kang, and Kim Chee-yun. She received a full scholarship from The Starling Foundation for the 2024 Meadowmount School of Music. Mio plays a Vincenzo Sannino violin and a Francois Nicolas Voirin bow on loan from the Takeuchi Collection through the Nippon Violin Society program. She plays chamber and orchestral music in the Center for Gifted Young Musicians Program, Temple University.
She will be accompanied by pianist Dr. Mark Livshits.
Grammy-nominated pianist Mark Livshits is one of the most highly sought-after soloists and chamber musicians in Philadelphia. He appears frequently in concert with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as with the orchestra as a substitute in the keyboard section. Dr. Livshits has also worked closely with musicians, such as Yannick Nezet Seguin, Stephane Denève, Michael Tilson Thomas, Nikolaj Znaider, Leonidas Kovakos, Lynn Harrell, Christoph Eschenbach, Alisa Weilerstein, Measha Brueggergosman, and Dave Brubeck.

Peace Love and Poms Rescue Second Annual Showcase Event at Annville-Cleona Veterinary Associates

A free day full of fun with dogs, mini cows, exotic pets, local vendors, and food and beverage trucks will take place on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join Peace Love and Poms Rescue for our second annual showcase event hosted at Annville-Cleona Veterinary Associates to meet rescue dogs (big and small) and get tours of the vet practice to see behind the scenes. We will have visits from local police dogs and tactical-trained Malinos to show their skills off. There will also be live music, drone demos, local vendors, food and beverage trucks, a bounce house, face painting, and lots of surprises in store! Bring the whole family, and meet some of your local rescues and their animals needing homes!
Swing Dance Classes With Rhythm Lounge at Hall of Philosophy

The Rhythm Lounge is a local collective with the goal of bringing you some of the best dance instructors, choreographers, and genuinely fun and kind people who know how to teach and work consistently on improving your experience on the dance floor. This class is for all levels.
Carla Crowen has been teaching Lindy Hop and other forms of vintage swing dancing for over 20 years. She has traveled the globe as an invited instructor and artist of swing dancing in order to share her passion and knowledge. She is currently the creator and director of The Rhythm Lounge (Lindy Central) and is working hard to cultivate a strong community of dance in the central Pennsylvania area. Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force’s Fourth Annual Big Bingo Event at Sacred Heart Church Social Hall

The Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force is excited to host its fourth annual all-cash bingo! Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with bingo starting at 1 p.m. This event is the Task Force’s kick-off for Suicide Prevention Month, which is nationally recognized each year during the month of September.
In addition to the regular bingo games, there will be a 50/50 jackpot, specials, and raffles. And of course, the kitchen will be open!
