At its monthly meeting on Monday, North Lebanon Township supervisors unanimously agreed to make a final payment of $38,525.61 for the recently completed Lions Lake Park Improvements Project, at the recommendation of the township engineer.
Including change orders, township manager Lori Books said, the project totaled $770,512.44, of which the township is responsible for $230,439.72.
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources reimbursed the township $250,000, and the Lebanon County Consortium intends to reimburse the township $290,072.72, including a not-yet reimbursed $14,503.64.
The project included restoration of the lake’s shoreline, replacement of playground equipment, and paving of parking lots.

In addition to complimenting the park’s new mural, which was installed by the Lebanon Valley Council on the Arts late last month, resident Ann Pinca thanked supervisors for the recently completed work on the lake, including new vegetation planted along the shoreline.

The township plans to resume stocking the lake with fish next year, as stocking was paused this year due to construction.
The board unanimously agreed to accept a bond as financial security for the Sheetz development (which was recently approved) totaling $1,096,806.06, having received necessary agreements. They also authorized chairman Ed Brensinger to sign an addendum to Sheetz’ developer’s agreement, which concerns signage required by PennDOT.

Supervisors also unanimously approved reduction of financial security for two projects, in the following amounts:
- Briar Ridge Commons Development, $1,520,925.28, leaving a balance of $903,617.12 at the recommendation of the township’s alternate engineer.
- Sunny Lane Foods/Scout Cold Storage, $931,980, leaving a balance of $6,720 at the recommendation of the townships’s alternate engineer.
In other news, supervisors:
- Unanimously authorized the township engineer to apply for a Local Share Account grant for upgrades to the Emma Road and Long Lane bridges, with repairs planned for 2027.
- Unanimously approved the submittal of the township’s annual application for the 904 Recycling Performance Grant.
- Unanimously approved the following dates for 2026 budget discussion:
- Sept. 24, 2 p.m.
- Oct. 2, 2 p.m.
- Oct. 7, 5:30 p.m. (Fire Chiefs)
- Oct. 15, 2 p.m.
- Oct. 29, 2 p.m.
- Unanimously approved a tree dedication at Lenni Lenape Park.
- Heard reports and unanimously approved minutes.
North Lebanon Township supervisors meet the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. Meetings are open to the public and do not require prior registration.
