Lebanon Community Theatre is looking for some “creative, community-minded individuals” to take positions on the organization’s board of directors and committees next year.

“Lebanon Community Theatre is searching for individuals who are eager to bring new and different perspectives, experiences, and skills” to the positions, the group said in a post to social media earlier this month.

“We particularly encourage those who may bring perspectives that are currently underrepresented on our board or committees to apply,” the message explains. “Additionally, we are seeking individuals with various experiences and initiatives and help us address the unique challenges and opportunities facing our organization. Current areas of desired expertise include but are not limited to, marketing and communications, law, fundraising and development, accounting, and organizational leadership.”

Interested parties are asked to contact the nominating committee at info@lebanoncommunitytheatre.org by 11:59 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1.

According to its website, Lebanon Community Theatre held its first performances at various locations starting in 1962, later purchasing the Weidle horse barn (Die Rote Scheier) near 10th and Oak streets, Lebanon, which it used as a performance space until it was destroyed by fire in 1971. The theater now makes its home at The Barn on East Maple Street at Theatre Drive, by Stoever’s Dam Park.

Tickets are now available online for “Rent,” the next production by Lebanon Community Theatre, which opens Dec. 11.
