Silver Ring Workshop at Drunken Smithy

$175.00 | 5-7:30 p.m., Friday, January 23 | 2236 Lebanon Valley Mall B13, Lebanon

“We will have rings and things and fine array!” This smaller ratio class will teach you to size, cut, form, texture, solder, and finish your own solid sterling silver ring in the size of your choosing.

Each workshop is a one-time, intensive, two-hour, hands-on course, and each participant can make one band. The workshop will take place regardless of the number of tickets sold. No minimum number of participants is required. This is an introductory-level class, and all experience levels are welcome—instructors will help as much or as little as you’d like. All raw materials, tools, gloves, and safety glasses will be provided. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes or boots and have long hair tied back. Although we are called Drunken Smithy, please keep in mind that alcohol may not be consumed prior to or during this workshop

The silver ring workshop fee is $175.00 total. We require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit at the time of reserving your spot, and the remaining balance ($125.00) is to be paid on-site the day of the workshop. When you pay the remaining balance, we impose a surcharge of 2.3% on the transaction amount for all credit, PayPal, and Venmo payment methods. There is no transaction fee for payments made with cash or Drunken Smithy gift certificates.

Copper Dragon Workshop at Drunken Smithy

Light those torches! This class includes flame painting! Get your feet wet in the art of metalcraft by creating your own hanging copper dragon wind spinner. You’ll learn to texture, bend, and create your own copper dragon as unique as you. Copper dragons crafted during this workshop will be approximately 9″x9″.

The workshop will take place regardless of the number of tickets sold. No minimum number of participants is required. All experience levels are welcome—instructors will help as much or as little as you’d like. All raw materials, tools, gloves, and safety glasses will be provided. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes or boots and have long hair tied back. Although we are called Drunken Smithy, please keep in mind that alcohol may not be consumed prior to or during this workshop. Drunken Smithy is wheelchair-friendly and welcomes participants of all ability levels. The only restriction we have is that oxygen tanks are not permitted in our forging area or our copper and silver workshop areas.

The copper dragon workshop fee is $150.00 total. Union Kanaal Grundsau Lodsch #17 of Eastern Lebanon County, a group of men dedicated in preserving their Pennsylvania Dutch roots, has hosted this event since 1981.
