Cornwall Borough Police are seeking information on a strong-arm robbery that took place Saturday morning, Jan. 24, between 10:45 and 11:30 a.m. at the Miners Village hockey rink.

Police said a local juvenile arranged to meet with two subjects he allegedly met on Snapchat. The two subjects arrived off of Granite Road at approximately 11:25 a.m. operating an older gray sedan. They then demanded the juvenile give up his backpack. Police said the suspects removed the backpack by force and took the victim’s phone.

According to a release by borough police Chief Brett Hopkins, the suspects then began to punch and kick the victim, causing bruises.

The suspects were described as two black men in their 20s wearing dark-colored clothing. One suspect was shorter than the other, police said.

The circumstances of the meeting were not mentioned in the news release. The hockey rink is at the Miners Village Sports Park off of Boyd Street.

Anyone who may have observed anything is urged to call police at 717-274-2071. The incident is being investigated by Officer Zach Donmoyer.
