Lebanon County District Attorney Pier Hess Graf announced Thursday, Jan. 29, that Jaden Pagan was arrested Wednesday morning in New York City by the U.S. Marshals Service over an October 2021 homicide case.

In that incident, a 16-year-old male was found dead from gunshot wounds in a crashed SUV. Following an investigation, Pagan and Jaedyn Gaines were charged.

Gaines was arrested within a week of the incident. He has since pled guilty and is pending sentencing, the DA’s office said in a press release.

The DA’s office said that efforts to locate Pagan remained unsuccessful and that local police requested assistance from the Marshals Service. New information in the past month obtained by county and city detectives helped marshals locate and arrest Pagan.

Pagan, 19, was 15 at the time of the incident. The DA’s office said he remains in New York City pending the execution of a fugitive warrant, after which he will be remanded to Lebanon County to face charges of homicide, conspiracy to to commit homicide, and additional firearms-related charges.

“We want to thank the United States Marshal Service for their assistance and excellent work in locating and safely arresting a violent criminal who evaded justice for far too long,” said Graf in the release. “Without the Marshals’ efforts our victim’s family would still be wondering and waiting when their son’s final killer would answer for his crimes.”
