Public drunkenness – Police charged a 43-year-old man with public drunkenness after an incident at 12 a.m. Jan. 1 on the 800 block of Cumberland Street.

Retail theft – Police charged a 50-year-old woman with retail theft on Jan. 1 after an incident in November on the 100 block of North 11th Avenue.

Harassment – Police charged a 35-year-old man with harassment after an incident at 4:07 p.m. Jan. 1 on the 900 block of Lehman Street.

Equipment of private haulers – Police charged a 39-year-old woman with equipment of private haulers after an incident at 11:52 a.m. Jan. 2 for hauling trash in a vehicle not properly designed to collect and remove municipal waste.

Disorderly conduct – Police charged a 28-year-old woman with disorderly conduct after an incident around 11:30 a.m. Jan. 3 on the 200 block of South 6th Street.

Public drunkenness – Police charged a 30-year-old man with public drunkenness after an incident at 8 p.m. Jan. 5 at 8th and Church streets.

Public drunkenness – Police charged a 35-year-old man with public drunkenness after an incident on Jan. 8 on the 800 block of Bowman Street.

Disorderly conduct – Police charged a 37-year-old man with disorderly conduct after an incident on Jan. 8 on the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

Harassment – Police charged a 51-year-old man with harassment after an incident around 1:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in Lebanon Village.

Disorderly conduct – Police charged a 57-year-old man with disorderly conduct after an incident around 10 a.m. Jan. 11 on the 500 block of Bollman Street.

Harassment – Police charged a 31-year-old woman with harassment after an incident around 9 p.m. Jan. 12 on the 400 block of New Street.

Equipment of private haulers – Police charged a 39-year-old woman with equipment of private haulers after an incident on Jan. 16 at Lincoln Avenue and Chestnut Street regarding a trash hauling vehicle not designed to haul trash.

Disorderly conduct – Police charged a 54-year-old man with disorderly conduct after an incident around 9 p.m. Jan. 21 on the 500 block of Weidman Street.

Harassment – Police charged a 31-year-old man with harassment after an incident around 11 a.m. Jan. 29 on the 200 block of South 7th Street.

DUI – Around 12:45 a.m. Feb. 2, police observed a vehicle traveling through a red traffic signal on the 600 block of Walnut Street. Police stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Joseph Miller, 36. After conducting field sobriety tests, police took Miller into custody for DUI-alcohol.

DUI – Around 10:45 a.m. Jan. 21, police responded to an erratic driver complaint on the 1200 block of Reinoehl Street. It was reported that Ecka Chow, 35, was driving a vehicle at a very low rate of speed on the wrong side of the road. Police determined that Chow was intoxicated, took her into custody, and charged her with DUI-alcohol.

Simple assault – Around 10:45 p.m. Feb. 1, police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 200 block of Mifflin Street. The suspect, Gilberto Vega Rosa, 33, had left the area, but police located him a short time later, took him into custody, and arrested him for simple assault (domestic violence-related).

Simple assault – Around 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1, police responded to a call regarding a domestic incident on the 00 block of North 10th Street. Police found that a physical confrontation had occurred, stemming from a verbal disagreement between two subjects who were known to each other. Police took Angel Rosario, 39, into custody and charged him with simple assault (domestic violence-related).

Drug possession – Around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 6, police made contact with Jose Echavarria, 23, on the 00 block of North 9th Street and detected an odor of a controlled substance. Police conducted a search and located the suspected substance, then charged Echavarria with possession of a controlled substance.

False identification to law enforcement – At 1:40 p.m. Jan. 4, police pulled over a vehicle for speeding on the 200 block of North 10th Street. The driver, Pamela Martinez-Silva, 29, attempted to deceive law enforcement by providing a family member’s personal details, claiming to be someone else. Upon discovering the deception, police charged Martinez-Silva with false identification to law enforcement and driving while suspended.

Retail theft – Lebanon City Police are investigating a retail theft that occurred at Weis Markets at 800 S. 12th St. Anyone with any information about the two subjects pictured below is asked to contact police.

Cops in classrooms – Officers Pidcock and Smalley had a great time walking through Henry Houck Elementary School and making a special stop in Miss Kreider’s classroom! The officers talked with the students about the importance of wearing seatbelts, using booster seats, riding in the back seat, and following bicycle safety tips.

Lebanon County Regional

Receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer – Police charged a 16-year-old male with felony receiving stolen property, misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, misdemeanor evading arrest or detention on foot, misdemeanor criminal mischief, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and summary drivers required to be licensed after an attempted traffic stop on Jan. 28 on a stolen vehicle that the juvenile was driving on North 7th and Cherry streets. The juvenile failed to stop the vehicle and, upon crashing, fled on foot from police. The juvenile also caused damage to the vehicle’s ignition system. Police found the juvenile to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, and he did not have a driver’s license.

Drug possession – Around 2:50 a.m. Jan. 17, police pulled over a vehicle bearing a suspended Pennsylvania registration in the area of East Cumberland Street and North 15th Avenue in North Lebanon Township. Police identified the driver as Pedro Diaz-Reveron, 28, and found that he did not have a valid driver’s license and was illegally in possession of a small amount of marijuana. The vehicle was impounded, and charges of misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, summary driving while suspended, summary required financial responsibility, and summary operation following suspension of registration were later filed against him.

Harassment – At 11:30 a.m. Feb. 3, police responded to Lebanon Skilled Nursing and Rehab in North Cornwall Township after a 66-year-old man struck a woman. Police charged the man with summary harassment.

Arrest warrant served – At 8:08 a.m. Feb. 3, police were alerted to a wanted subject at Rutter’s in West Lebanon Township. Lebanon City Police officers advised Lebanon County Regional Police officers that Mateo Esteban, 26, had an active warrant for his arrest out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department. Police took custody of Esteban and transported him to LCCB.

Theft by unlawful taking or disposition – At 12:16 p.m. Jan. 10, police responded to the 1800 block of Center Street in North Cornwall Township for a package theft. Police identified the suspect vehicle and, with the assistance of Lebanon City Police, the vehicle was located and stopped. The stolen package was recovered, along with a stolen package from another residence on the 1800 block of Center Street. Police charged Carlos Cespedes, 36, with misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking or disposition, summary duties at a stop sign, and summary driving while suspended.

Retail theft – On Dec. 31, police responded to Target in North Cornwall Township for a retail theft. Police learned that the theft occurred on Dec. 22, when a woman stole several items by concealing them in a handbag. Police identified the suspect as Holly Williams, 59, and charged her with felony retail theft.

DUI, careless driving – At 3:57 p.m. Nov. 19, police responded to an erratic driver on West Oak Street in North Cornwall Township. Police stopped the vehicle and determined that the driver, Jessica Stahl, 36, was under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. Police arrested Stahl and charged her with three counts of misdemeanor DUI-alcohol or controlled substance, misdemeanor DUI-controlled substance, summary accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property, summary driving on roadways laned for traffic, and summary careless driving.

Retail theft – At 11:55 p.m. Dec. 23, police responded to Target in North Cornwall Township after Elizabeth Pilkerton, 41, allegedly stole merchandise from the store. Further investigation revealed that Pilkerton committed a similar theft at the store on Dec. 2. Police charged Pilkerton with misdemeanor retail theft and summary retail theft.

Lebanon County Regional Police Department attends luncheon with 1st graders – On Jan. 29, Patrolman Behney attended a luncheon with Principal McGinty, a Cornwall-Lebanon school resource officer, and 1st graders at Union Canal Elementary School to celebrate their achievement with McDonald’s cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets. Through a longstanding program at the school, known as the 3 A’s, students are recognized for their attitude, attendance, and academic performance, and are given the opportunity to talk with a police officer while enjoying lunch. The police department wants to thank Principal McGinty for continuing this program, as officers always look forward to talking with the kids while keeping them safe!

South Londonderry Township

Vehicle accident, following too closely – At 1:25 p.m. Jan. 28, police responded to a crash at Mount Wilson and Mount Gretna roads. Police determined that a 42-year-old Columbia man was following too closely to a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Lititz woman. The man’s vehicle rear-ended the woman’s vehicle, causing damage. No injuries were reported. Police charged the man with following too closely.

Found injured dog – At 7:55 p.m. Jan. 24, police responded to a report of an injured dog in the area of Colebrook and Bachmanville roads. Police found a blue (gray) female pit bull lying alongside the road. Due to the apparent injuries, police determined that the dog might have been struck by a vehicle. Police were assisted by good Samaritans with loading the injured dog into a patrol car. Police transported the dog to an emergency veterinary hospital for care. Police are investigating the incident as well as attempting to locate the owner of the dog. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact South Londonderry Township Police.

Vehicle accident – At 3:52 p.m. Feb. 4, a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling east on I-76 East in the left lane in the area of mile marker 259.5. The Volkswagen struck the rear mud flap assembly that had come off a tractor-trailer, sustaining damage to its front left tire and bumper. The tire was changed, and the Volkswagen was driven from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Western Lebanon County Regional

Driving while suspended – At 7:42 p.m. Jan. 26, police pulled over a vehicle on the 800 block of West Main Street in Palmyra for a traffic violation. Police identified the driver as Wayne Chapman, 59, and found that he had a suspended driver’s license, DUI-related, with four previous convictions. A criminal complaint was filed against Chapman for misdemeanor driving while suspended, DUI-related, summary expired registration, and summary operating a vehicle without financial responsibility.
