The North Lebanon Township Board of Supervisors unanimously agreed to place the 2026 paving project up for bid at its monthly meeting Monday.

The project will include Heffelfinger Road from Morrissey Drive to Route 343 and Morrissey Drive from Mount Zion Road to the township line.

The township also plans to undergo oil and chip treatment on Halfway Drive from U.S. Route 422 to the township line and Emma Road from Elias Avenue to the township line.

Bids will be opened March 12 and will be reviewed by supervisors at their March 16 meeting. During budgeting for 2026, the township anticipated receiving $408,027 from the state liquid fuel fund, which is used for paving projects and other road maintenance.

The board also unanimously approved an escalator clause resolution, agreeing to adjust prices for bituminous materials.

Supervisors unanimously approved the following purchases concerning a new truck, all of which were budgeted for and came in slightly under budget:

  • A 2027 Western Star dump truck, costing $139,997 and budgeted at $140,720.
  • An upfit for the truck at $99,515, budgeted at $100,313.
  • An 11-foot valk dual taper plow to be used by the new dump truck, for $13,330, budgeted at $16,150.

The request is now being reviewed by county planning and the planning commission.
