LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.

Our Pet of the Week is sometimes available for adoption through a local shelter. Other times the weekly column will spotlight a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home.

This week, meet Gypsy and Bear!

“Gypsy is an all black domestic shorthair with a little white patch on her chest. Bear is a long-haired tabby with a little bit of Siberian longhair in her, too,” says owner Katie Hostetter.

“Gypsy is the shy girl at first but once she comes out of her shell she is very playful and will love you 24/7. She has her own pillow in bed and sleeps there every night,” Katie adds. “Bear is who we call the menace, but is the sweetest girl. She loves bringing me mice, digging in plants and chattering at birds outside the window. She also plays fetch! They are both the sweetest girls! Rescuing them has been such a rewarding experience!”

She notes that both cats were adopted from Cocoa Kitties, a cat rescue based in Hershey. Katie says they are “always updating” their Facebook page with new kitties that are available for adoption.

Congratulations to Gypsy and Bear for being this week’s LebTown Pets of the Week!
