LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column spotlights an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Lucinda!

“Good things come in small packages,” Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel tells LebTown.
Lucinda is a female chihuahua mix, 8 to 10 years old. A “petite princess at just 10 pounds,” Mika says Lucinda is “sweet, sensitive, demure, … super snuggly and loves to burrow under blankets.” She also loves to go for walks and show off her proper leash manners, Mika adds.

Mika notes that Lucinda has a “mild mitral valve disease, which does not require any medications at this time, but should be monitored with annual cardiology follow-ups.” She was pad trained before joining the PLP family, “so an adopter should be comfortable with having a pee pad area set up for her.”
Lucinda enjoys the company of other dogs, especially for cuddle time, and although she is crate-trained, it’s “not exactly her happy place.” She’s kitty-approved, but her ideal household “will be a calm setting as this senior lady appreciates her peace and quiet.”

She’s looking “for a loving family that will include her in all the binge watching sessions,” Mika says. “Bonus if there’s a dog on tv she can bark at!”
