City of Lebanon

DUI – Around 1 a.m. Nov. 27, police responded to the 100 block of Mifflin Street for a narcotics complaint and made contact with Timothy Beaudoin, 47, inside a vehicle. Police determined that Beaudoin was under the influence of a controlled substance and took Beaudoin into custody for DUI. Upon receipt of blood test results, police charged Beaudoin with DUI-controlled substance.

Criminal mischief – Police filed charges of criminal mischief against Noe Lara, 25, after an investigation into a vandalism complaint and the receipt of an estimate to repair damage. The incident occurred on Jan. 18, when it was reported that Lara had damaged the front door of a home on the 1300 block of Church Street following an argument.

DUI – Around 2 a.m. Feb. 8, police pulled over a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. Police identified the driver as Victor Reyes-Martinez, 41, and observed him exhibiting signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Police took Reyes-Martinez into custody for DUI. Upon receipt of the blood test results, police charged him with DUI-alcohol.

DUI – Around 8 p.m. Feb. 11, police responded to the 400 block of South 9th Street for a crash. Police spoke with the driver, Mitchell Clawson, 65, then arrested Clawson for driving while under the influence and charged him with DUI-alcohol.

Public drunkenness, drug possession – Around 7 a.m. March 6, police responded to the 600 block of Quentin Road for a disturbance. Police encountered Francisco Rivera, 33, and determined him to be the source of the disturbance. Police took Rivera into custody and charged him with public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Simple assault – Around 10:30 p.m. March 6, police responded to the 500 block of Weidman Street for a domestic disturbance. Police observed a subject with physical injuries, then spoke with Anthony Woods, 29, and subsequently arrested him for simple assault (domestic violence-related).

Retail theft, receiving stolen property – Around 7:30 p.m. March 7, police responded to the 900 block of East Cumberland Street for a retail theft. Police located the suspect, who was identified as Matthew Butler, 37, and was known to police as a suspect for a stolen motor vehicle. The investigation into the retail theft led police to the location of the previously reported stolen vehicle that Butler was driving. Police took Butler into custody and charged him with felony retail theft and receiving stolen property.

Simple assault – Around 8 p.m. March 8, police responded to the 200 block of Mifflin Street for a domestic disturbance. Police spoke with a subject who had sustained physical injuries as a result of the assault. Police then located the suspect, who was identified as Helene Merwine, 25. Police took Merwine into custody and charged her with simple assault (domestic violence-related).

Applicants are required to bring their own turnout gear. The written exam will be held after passing the physical agility test at Lebanon City Hall, 735 Cumberland St., Lebanon.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle accident, reckless endangerment – At 1:44 a.m. Feb. 21, a white 2016 Mazda CX-5 driven by a 44-year-old Myerstown woman, accompanied by a 38-year-old Philadelphia man, was traveling north on the 3200 block of Heidelberg Avenue. The driver and front-seat passenger were involved in a domestic argument when the passenger grabbed the steering wheel and turned the Mazda to the right. The Mazda exited the road and struck a fence and a garage. The driver was wearing a seatbelt, sustained an injury of unknown severity, and was transported via Warwick Community Ambulance Association to Reading Hospital. The passenger was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained an injury of unknown severity, and was transported via Schaefferstown EMS to Reading Hospital. Police charged the passenger with reckless endangerment. This incident also involved a 45-year-old Newmanstown man and a blue 2024 Ford Bronco.

Vehicle accident – Around 1:26 p.m. March 4, a horse-drawn carriage driven by a man pulled out in front of a tractor-trailer, also driven by a man. The tractor-trailer was able to slow prior to making contact with the rear of the horse-drawn carriage. No injuries were reported. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene.

Jackson Township

Vehicle accident, careless driving – At 4:45 p.m. March 7, a 2004 Dodge Dakota was traveling south on the 1200 block of Hilltop Road when it exited its lane of travel and hit a mailbox and a light post fixture. The driver said he was unsure how the crash occurred and admitted he might have fallen asleep. The driver reported no injuries. The Dodge was towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s because it was stuck on a light post fixture. Police charged the driver with careless driving.

Lebanon County Regional

Retail theft, driving while suspended – At 8:07 p.m. Feb. 20, police responded to Target in North Cornwall Township for a retail theft. An investigation revealed that Francisco Irizarry Irizarry, 28, stole merchandise from the store on Feb. 1, 18, and 20. Irizarry also operated a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license while committing the thefts. Police charged Irizarry with misdemeanor retail theft for each theft and summary driving while suspended.

Retail theft – On March 5, police charged Karla Flores Canales, 37, with misdemeanor retail theft. The charge stems from an incident at Boscov’s in West Lebanon Township in which Flores Canales failed to pay for $163.99 worth of merchandise.

Harassment – On March 10, police charged Max Stevey, 33, with misdemeanor harassment by communication. The charge stems from Stevey continually contacting a subject after being informed by multiple police officers with the Lebanon County Regional Police Department not to make contact with the subject.

Keeping of animals regulated – At 9:56 a.m. March 11, police responded to the 900 block of Miller Street in North Lebanon Township for a report of animals running at large. An investigation revealed that a 39-year-old woman failed to confine her animals on her property. Police charged her with summary keeping of animals regulated.

Public drunkenness – At 1:09 p.m. March 11, police responded to the Plaza Apartments in Lebanon for an intoxicated subject. An investigation revealed that a 28-year-old man was intoxicated in public at the apartment complex. Police released him to a friend and charged him with summary public drunkenness.

Bench warrant served – At 5:32 p.m. March 12, police made contact with Athena Remlinger, 37, on the 1400 block of East Lehman Street in North Lebanon Township. Police determined that Remlinger had a warrant for her arrest out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Office. Police placed Remlinger under arrest and transported her to LCCB.

Retail theft suspect – Lebanon County Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a retail theft suspect. Police responded to TJ Maxx, 1141 Quentin Road in North Cornwall Township, after a suspect committed retail thefts at the store on March 4 and 8. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to submit a tip through CRIMEWATCH or contact police at 717-273-8141.

South Lebanon Township

Aggressive driving enforcement initiative – South Lebanon Township Police will join the Pennsylvania State Police and roughly 300 municipal agencies to conduct a targeted aggressive driving enforcement wave from March 18 to April 26.

The goal of the targeted enforcement wave is to reduce the number of aggressive driving-related crashes, injuries, and deaths on roadways in the state. Any aggressive driver stopped by the police will receive a ticket.

The enforcement wave will focus on distracted driving, speeding, and work zone awareness. Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors, such as driving too fast for conditions, following too closely, or engaging in other aggressive actions, will also be cited.

The enforcement is part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program and is funded by part of PennDOT’s investment of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For more information on aggressive driving, visit PennDOT.pa.gov/Safety.

Swatara Township

Confinement of dogs violation – Around 8:50 a.m. March 4, two dogs belonging to a 29-year-old Lebanon woman were running loose on a 45-year-old Lebanon female neighbor’s property and on the road on the 00 block of Groy Avenue. Police charged the 29-year-old with a confinement of dogs violation.

Union Township

Harassment – At 10:46 p.m. March 5, police charged a 37-year-old Jonestown woman with harassment after the woman punched another person on Lambs Lane.

Western Lebanon County Regional

DUI, drug possession – At 4:55 p.m. Nov. 13, police received an erratic driver complaint. Police located the vehicle on the 300 block of South White Oak Street in Annville and pulled it over for traffic violations. Police identified the driver as Martin Conroy II, 45. Police determined that Conroy was under the influence of controlled substances and arrested him for DUI. Police also found that Conroy was in possession of controlled substances. Lab results confirmed the substances to be heroin, fentanyl, and xylazine. Conroy’s vehicle also displayed counterfeit inspection stickers and expired registration. On Feb. 18, police charged Conroy with misdemeanor DUI-schedule II/III controlled substance, misdemeanor DUI-drug-impaired ability, misdemeanor possession of controlled substances, and two summary traffic violations.

Bench warrant served, drug possession – At 9:40 a.m. Feb. 25, police located Luis Rosa, 37, in a parking lot on the 900 block of East Main Street in Palmyra. Rosa was known to have a bench warrant out of Lebanon County, with the original charge being felony theft. Police served Rosa the bench warrant and took him to LCCB. Police also charged Rosa with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
