The next in-person information session “Becoming a CASA” will be held Tuesday, April 28, 5:30 p.m. at the CASA Office in Lebanon, 1349 Cumberland Street. The Information Session will cover the history of CASA, the role and duties of a CASA, and next steps to joining our program. A current CASA will also be at the session to share their experiences. The session will be approximately 30-45 minutes in duration and registration is required. Questions? CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties invites you to attend the Lebanon Community Happy Hour Thursday, April 23, 5:00-7:00 p.m. for an evening of connection and conversation on the beautiful patio at Iron Valley Golf Club, 201 Iron Valley Drive. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary drink ticket, and the opportunity to engage with fellow community members. You’ll also hear from Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) about the vital work we are doing to advocate for children in Lebanon County who have experienced abuse and neglect. This casual and informative gathering is a great way to learn more about CASA’s mission and how you can get involved as a volunteer, donor, or community partner. Please feel free to bring a friend! This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required by April 19. You must be 21+ to attend. For more information, contact Raquel Vera, Event Coordinator, raquel@casalancleb.org or 717-286-1433. Visit our website to register.

The next training class will be hosted in Lebanon and begins on May 13. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) are community volunteers, just like you, who stand up and speak out on behalf of abused and neglected children. A CASA’s duties include meeting with the child and others involved in the case regularly and sharing the information gathered in a written report to the court. Our dedicated volunteers serve as trusted, consistent adults for the children they represent, working toward the goal of a safe, nurturing and permanent home.
