Cornwall Properties has submitted a sketch plan for a 98-unit development in Miners Village to Cornwall Borough Planning & Zoning.

The sketch includes 97 townhouses and one single-family detached home.

The Miners Village sketch plan, provided by Cornwall Borough.

According to minutes of the planning commission’s Aug. 5 meeting, Cornwall Properties representative Mike Swank said the sketch plan is not required, but he wanted to communicate plans to the borough.

The development would be connected to Silver Road through a newly constructed road bypassing Miners Village, Swank said. He also said the number of townhomes may be reduced during the engineering process.

Swank said the developer will work with the borough both to ensure water and sewer capacity is accounted for and that the homes match the surrounding area aesthetically.

The sketch is not an official plan. When a plan is submitted to Cornwall P&Z, it will be reviewed against borough code.

The P&Z meets the first Monday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m.
