Abram F. Brandt Jr., 88, of Hershey, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Jan. 15, 1938, in Palmyra, PA, he was the son of the late Abram F. Brandt Sr. and Lena (Moyer) Brandt.
He was a graduate of Northern Lebanon High School, class of 1955. Abram was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Lebanon VFW Post 23 and Palmyra American Legion Post 72.
Abram was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Arnold) Brandt, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage.
He is survived by his daughters, Janet M. O’Boyle, and her husband, Timothy, of Elkridge, MD, Susan L. Brandt, of Camp Hill, PA, and Lori A. Smith, and her husband, Timothy, of Cypress, TX; son, Neil A. Brandt, of Enola, PA; and adored grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Michael, and Sean O’Boyle. Abram is also survived by his brothers, Raymond, and Lloyd, and his wife, Lori; sisters, Beth Weihrauch, and her husband, Ronald, Lucy Kreider, and Marty Uhrich; sisters-in-law, Shirley Brandt and Patricia Brandt; brother-in-law, John Kline; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl, Arthur, and Mark; sisters, Arlene and Verna Brandt and Erma Kline; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Uhrich and Robert Kreider.
After retirement from The Hershey Company, Abram worked part-time for 15 years at the Manheim Auto Auction. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey, PA. Abram found great joy in attending his children and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events throughout the years. He enjoyed restoring his 1964 Chevy, country music, reading, and traveling. He cherished the countless memories he made with his family and will forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at Kreamer Funeral Home in Annville, PA. Interment with full military honors will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Annville, PA. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the time of service.
