Albert “Al” Yingst, 86, of Morganton, NC, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. He was the husband of the late Blanche E. “Eva” Yingst, who passed away in 2013.

Al was born in Palmyra on Oct. 16, 1938, to the late Robert and Stella (Yingst) Sonon. He was an Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a computer specialist in the Air Force and was a small engine mechanic. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, boating, camping, and woodworking.

Surviving are his children, Lori A. Mann, of Smithfield, NC, Albert L. Yingst (Leslie), of Pensacola, FL, Mary S. Evans, of Chattahoochee, FL, Carol L. Anderson, of Morganton, NC, and Scott A. Yingst, of Deland, FL; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, Lebanon. There will be a viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
