Allen Carl Weik, 87, of Myerstown, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Kathleen A. (Ernfield) Weik, to whom he would have been married 64 years in October.

Born in Lebanon on Feb. 27, 1933, he was the son of the late Ammon and Emma (Miller) Weik. Allen entered the U.S. Army near the end of the Korean War, then served in Hanau, Germany until the time of his discharge. He was employed as a pattern maker at Quaker Alloy, Myerstown, for 30 years. Allen also worked at Blatt’s Pattern Shop, Fredericksburg, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Myerstown VFW and Myerstown Rod and Gun Club. Allen enjoyed spending time at his home in Potter County, and was an avid outdoorsman and master woodworker.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Audrey, wife of Steven Morinchin. Of all his many talents, the role in which he most excelled was “Grampy” to his only granddaughter, Hayley, wife of Daniel Christner. They shared a special bond. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Catherine Troutman, Helen LeGay, Arlene Fuhrman; and brothers, Guy, Raymond, Henry, Grant, and Roy Weik.

A visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020 from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
