Allen J. “Springy” Springborn Jr., 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara A. Springborn, to whom he was married for over 65 years.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on Feb. 10, 1938, he was the son of the late Allen J. Springborn Sr. and the late Anna P. (Spezak) Springborn.

Springy had the honor of serving as a crew member on the maiden voyage of the USS Saratoga CV-60 aircraft carrier while enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and had a fondness for the Old West. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. In his later years, he developed quite a few friendships while visiting the casino. He was also passionate about the New York Yankees as a life-long fan.

Surviving are two children, John A. Springborn, husband of Trisha J., of Lebanon, and Darlene M. Springborn, wife of Patrick T. Fair, of Lebanon; and two grandchildren, Ryan Springborn, husband of Kait, and Brooke Springborn.

In addition to his wife, Allen was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Springborn and Jim Springborn.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
