Allen L. Roof, 82, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Lebanon, PA on October 19, 1938, Allen was a son of the late William and Alice (Auchenbach) Roof. He was a United State Navy veteran and was a past fire chief of the Glen Lebanon Fire Company. Allen was a member of the Fire Police Auxiliary and an active member of the AA Community. He enjoyed deer hunting, golfing, and watching western movies.

Allen is survived by three children, Brenda S. Dieffenbach, wife of Mitch, Sherri L Wanner, wife of Jeff, and Beth A. Roof, five grandchildren, Tara, Brandon, Mandy, Jeffrey, and Rochelle, nine great-grandchildren, Somer, Harleigh, Kameron, Hayden, Landon, Ella, Colt, Silas, and Cashton. He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by six siblings.

A viewing will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 17th, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th Street, Lebanon. Interment with full military honors will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
