Alma H. Burkholder, 68, of Womelsdorf, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Barry L. Burkholder.

Born in Ephrata, PA on March 23, 1953, she was the daughter of the late John and Alma (Horst) Hurst. She was a member of the Little Mountain Mennonite Church.

She is survived by her children Sharon (Phil) Ehst of Delphi, IN, JoAnne (Mast) Stoltzfus of Millerstown, B. Lamar (Marilyn) Burkholder of Womelsdorf, Jason (Donna) Burkholder of Fredericksburg, Jonathan (Christa) Burkholder of Pleasant Mount, Justin (Velma) Burkholder of Myerstown and Rosina (Conrad) Sweigart of Saxton; brothers Harold Hurst of Danville, Daniel (Janie) Hurst of Myerstown, John (Bonnie) Hurst of Newmanstown, Paul (Gloria) Hurst of Myerstown, and Nelson (Cindy) Hurst of Pelham, GA; sisters Ruth (Moses Jr.) Yoder, of LaMonte, MO, Lois Owen of Turbotville, PA, Esther (James) Lapp of Lewisburg and Orpha (Ken) Zimmerman of Lebanon; thirty-seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and special friend Mervin Weaver of Johnsonville, IL. She was preceded in death by her sister Miriam Hurst.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Little Mountain Mennonite Church. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 15th, at the Swatara Mennonite Church from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 5:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at the adjoining church cemetery.
