Alma M. Landis, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025. She resided at Pleasant View Communities in Manheim. She was the wife of the late Mark G. Landis, who passed away on Dec. 3, 2024.

Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel and Rachel (Martin) Martin.

Alma worked alongside Mark on their dairy and crop farm near Annville for their first 20-plus years together. She worked as a prep cook for Countryside Christian Community for 22 years before her retirement. She was a member of Gingrich’s Mennonite Church.

Alma enjoyed reading and doing word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed serving people through her cooking and baking. Alma also served the community by volunteering at Jubilee Ministries in Lebanon and Gift & Thrift Store in Mount Joy. She was also involved in the church’s sewing circle for many decades. Alma loved spending time with all of her family.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy (Cheryl Hawks) Landis, Thomas (Greta Yoder) Landis, and Jeffrey (Alicia Rodriguez) Landis; daughter, Deborah Bailey; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Karen (Kenneth) Trovinger.

Alma was preceded in death by her brothers, Elam Martin, Allen Martin, Ezra Martin, Emerson Martin, and Emanuel Martin; and sisters, Lavina Redcay, Ruth Giagnocavo, Erma Landis, and Rachael Freed.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at Gingrich’s Mennonite Church, 100 Forney Road, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of her service at the Church.
