Ambrose A. “Skip” Arnold Jr., 97, of Palmyra, PA, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Londonderry Village. He was the husband of the late Jane L. (Kauffman) Arnold.
Born in Lebanon, PA, on March 29, 1928, Skip was a son of the late Ambrose and Enid (Zimmerman) Arnold. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School, Class of 1947, and went on to retire from Lebanon Valley Offset following many years of dedicated service.
Skip was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church. A lifelong lover of music, he shared his voice with several barbershop quartets and was a devoted member of the Singing Cedar Barbershop Chorus for more than 70 years. In his free time, Skip enjoyed watching Hershey Bears hockey games and was an avid Penn State fan. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Skip is survived by his daughters, Amy Nestler (David-deceased) and Susan Poisal (Thomas); grandchildren, Christopher Poisal (Kristen), Meghan Frederick (Alex), and Paul Nestler; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Cayden, Tyler, and Olivia Poisal, and Bennett and Brooks Frederick; and many nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
In addition to his wife and parents, Skip was preceded in death by his daughter, Sally Ann Arnold; and sister, Betty Arnold.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 300 W. Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Interment will follow at Kimmerling’s Cemetery in Lebanon. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the church.
