Ammon Henry Boyd, Jr., 76, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, August 21st, 2022, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center after suffering a stroke a few days prior.

Born in Lebanon on May 24th, 1946, he was the son of the late Ammon S. and Doris (Potteiger) Boyd.

Ammon loved the outdoors, especially the mountains and streams. He loved hiking, biking, and whitewater canoeing in his early days and continued being active later in life by walking and riding his bicycle on the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. He served in the United States Marine Corps and completed a tour in Vietnam.

Surviving is two loving children, Denise L. Brandt, wife of John of Lebanon, Scott M. Boyd, husband of Jody of Lebanon, four grandchildren he completely adored, Kendall, Carmen, Benjamin, Gracyn, two sisters, Linda Wagner of Lebanon, Patricia Martin of Mt. Gretna, two nieces, and a nephew.

Ammon was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Boyd.

Private memorial services with military honors will be held at the convenience of the family at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
