Amos E. Soliday, Sr., 82, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at the WellSpan GSH in Lebanon. He was the husband of Louise M. Lengle Soliday. On Sept. 6, 2020, they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.
Born in Union Twp. on Oct. 12, 1938, he was the son of the late Amos J. and Sarah Adams Soliday. Amos retired from Bethlehem Steel and the Morgantown Mines, where he had worked as a mechanic. He loved to play softball and played into his 60’s. He enjoyed spending time with his family and, especially, his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Roger A., and his wife, Donna Soliday, of Jonestown, PA, Kevin L. Soliday, of Lebanon, PA, and Nathan T., and his wife, Amy Soliday, of Myerstown, PA, his daughter, Robin M., wife of David Cantrell, of Lebanon, PA, brothers, Eugene, of Reading, PA, Richard, of Annville, PA, Ernest, of TX, and John Soliday, of Fredericksburg, PA, sister, Mildred Leininger, of Lebanon, PA, and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Amos E. Soliday, Jr., and a sister, Rachel Reppert.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
