Amy E. Bashore, 40, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024, at MS Hershey Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Jeremy J. Bashore, with whom she celebrated 20 years of marriage.

Amy was born in Warren, Ohio, on Feb. 18, 1984, to Walter J. “Sonny” and Rae E. (Wise) Sisek, of Hershey.

She graduated from Trumbull Business College. She worked at Big Lots in Cleona and, more recently, as an associate manager of The Vitamin Shoppe on Jonestown Road. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. When she was younger, she was involved with Bells and Bows and was a member of The National Honor Society. Amy was known for having a love of reading her devotions, memorizing scripture, singing, doing makeup, and watching movies and TV. Her favorite movies were the Star Wars movies.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and her parents, are a brother, Aaron Sisek, and his wife, Rebecca, of Melboure, FL; father-in-law, John Bashore; and mother-in-law, Jane (Barton) Bashore.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. at The Palmyra United Zion Church, 1000 E. Oak St., Palmyra, PA 17078. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Penn State Cancer Research, and a gift can be made by check payable to Penn State University.
