Amy Jean Boyer, 49, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019. Born in Lebanon, PA on December 4, 1969, she was the daughter of James and Mary (Reed) Boyer of Harrisburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, Amy is survived by her pride and joy, her son, Chance Mihalik of CA; her brother, Richard Boyer, husband of Melissa of Stephens City, VA; a nephew, Brandon Boyer; two nieces, Makayla Boyer; and Monica Murray, wife of Brandon, all of Harrisburg.

Amy was a 1987 graduate of Cedar Crest High School. After high school Amy worked in the fingerprint department for the FBI in Washington. Returning to PA she attended school and worked as a medical assistant for Cummings Associates of Harrisburg.

Amy always had a smile and was always willing to jump in and help. Amy was very into her family.

In 2003 Amy went into cardiac arrest and suffered an anoxic brain injury and was diagnosed as incomplete locked in syndrome. We could not have asked for a better place or better caregivers than those she had at Masonic Health Care Center.

This morning she took the hand of her favorite Aunt Jean and with her Uncle Bill and Uncle Rich by their sides, they were off to heaven.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Masonic Village Employee Fund or Masonic Village Hospice at Masonic Village, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family at thompsonfuneralhomelebanon.com
