Andre Kaas, 83, passed away on Sept. 7, 2025, at the Lebanon Veterans’ Hospital.
Andre was born on Aug. 8, 1942, in Miami, FL, to Andre Kaas Sr. and Julie Lacze. He graduated from the Bronx, New York high school. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965 on the USS Boxer. He started his career as a pet shop owner in New York City and continued on as an antique dealer in New York.
Andre married Barbara Kaas in 1985 in Hawaii. The couple were happily married for 40 years and enjoyed spending family time together. They shared many happy memories along their journey.
Andre loved to fish. He loved to plant flowers and garden. Andre enjoyed going to the VA in his free time to talk with other veterans.
Andre is survived by his spouse, Barbara Kaas, of Lebanon; and son, Jason Kaas. Andre was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Lacze; and brother, Fred Kaas.
Services will be held privately at the Indiantown Gap. Memorial donations can be made in Andre’s name to ASPCA, as he loved all of his furry friends.
