Anita Faye Swearingen, 82, of Rexmont, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at her residence with her loving son by her side. She was the wife of the late James Garrett Swearingen who passed away in 2014.
Born in Lebanon on February 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Alma (France) Dishong. Anita graduated from Cornwall High School with the class of 1956. She was a Teller at First National Bank, and a homemaker. Anita was a member of Rexmont E.C. Church where she taught Sunday School from 12 years old until she was in her early 70s. Faith and family were most important to Anita.
Surviving is a son Ray A. Swearingen of Rexmont, great grandson Anthony Kayden Swearingen, step-grandson Jude Swearingen, husband of Kelly, sister-in-law Jean Dishong, nephew Dale Dishong and niece Kay Boyer. She was preceded in death by her grandson Mark Anthony Swearingen, step-son James D. Swearingen, and brother Forrest Dishong.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
