Anna L. Yingst, 93, of Harrisburg, formerly of Cleona, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Homeland Center in Harrisburg. She was the wife of the late Mervin S. Yingst, who passed away in 2012.

Born in Orwin (Tower City), PA, she was a daughter of the late Oley R. and Mamie A. (Schaeffer) Bender.

Anna was an accomplished seamstress and was a member of the former First E.C. Church in Lebanon, where she was a greeter and worked in the missionary society. She enjoyed sewing, reading, birdwatching, and tending to her garden. Anna enjoyed traveling, in particular to the Great Smokey Mountains and Florida. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy, wife of Fred Lebo, of New Cumberland, and many nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by sisters, Alma (Morgan), Elsie (Henry), Helen (Schaeffer), Ruth (Mence), and Carrie (Hentz), and brothers, Raymond Bender, Harold “Duck” Bender, Howard “Hoff” Bender, Walter Bender, Leon Bender, Norman “Heimy” Bender, and Claire Bender.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St. Annville. Inurnment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park, followed by a luncheon at Heisey’s Diner on North Highway 72, Lebanon. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
