Anna M. Houser, 90, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at her home. She was the wife of the late Allen R. Houser.

Born on April 20, 1934, in Londonderry Township, Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine Tarker Welter.

Anna was a member of the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jonestown. For over 40 years, she served as a Sunday School teacher. For many years, she was involved in making quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and especially enjoyed doing for others.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy A. Houser, of Jonestown; sons, Larry A., husband of Sharon Houser, of Lebanon, and Edward A. Houser, husband of Kelli Lucas, of Rochester, MN; sister, Ruth Gerberich, of Jonestown; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert A. Houser; grandson, Zane Michael Houser; and sister, Arlene Hower.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Grantville.
