Anna M. “Reesie” Lauer, 92, passed away on March 15, 2024, at her home.

Reesie was born on March 1, 1932, to the late Thomas Swope and Edna M. Swope nee Lutz in Bethel Township.

She enjoyed helping with Hinkelfest, crocheted hundreds of hats every year that were donated to people in need, and was known for her sugar cookies. Reesie enjoyed traveling with her husband and was a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Lauer; siblings, Mildred Kreiser and H. John Swope; and nephew, Glenn Kreiser. She is survived by their extended families.

Viewing will be on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 10-11 a.m., at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland St., Lebanon. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, at 12:30 p.m.
