Arlene A. Boger, 89, of Lebanon passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, in Little River (Myrtle Beach), South Carolina while visiting her daughter Linda and son Bill. She was the wife of the late Harry W. Boger, Jr. who passed in 2016.

Born in Lebanon, PA on August 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Elsie E. Jura (Batdorf) and Louis Jura. Arlene began her tax collector career in 1974, retiring in 2017 after serving North Cornwall Township for 43 years. She was a member of St. Paul The Apostle Church in Annville and St. Mary’s Church in Lebanon. She enjoyed making bears, playing cards, camping, going out to lunch with her friends, shopping, going to the casino and traveling to the summer cottage she owned with her husband Harry in Myrtle Beach, S.C. where they spent numerous vacations with their family and close friends. She especially loved anything pertaining to her family and loved them very much. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Surviving are her four children, Linda M. Shaw, wife of Gary Shaw, Harry “Bill” William Boger, III, husband of Tam Tran Boger, Scott A. Boger, husband of Lori Boger, and Jeffrey D. Boger, husband of Shari Boger; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Danielle, Erin, Brett, Brent, Justin, Nykky, Michael, Brandon, Nichole and Tyler; 16 great grandchildren, Jacob, Kennedy, Rylan, Felix, Cheri, Jaiden, Jackson, Cecilia, Akeila, Sierra, Ella, Danny, Adalynn, Francesca, Adrian and Julian; two step great grandchildren, Elijah and Jaxton; and one great-great grandchild, Maverick.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at St. Paul’s The Apostle Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville, PA. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S. 9th St., Lebanon and Thursday morning prior to Mass from 10-11 at the church. After the burial, please join us in celebrating Arlene’s life back at St. Paul’s The Apostle Church for refreshments and food starting at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the “Disabled Veterans” and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.” These two organizations were near and dear to her heart.
