Arlene J. Tobias, 98, of Lebanon passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, at her residence surrounded by dear loved ones. She was the wife of the late Harry Tobias, who passed away in 2005.

Arlene was born on February 27, 1923, and raised in Lebanon to the late Howard Bleistein, Sr. and Edith (Miller) Bleistein. Arlene was a homemaker. She was a member of Palmyra Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had a deep faith and loved the ministry. Arlene had a love for the outdoors and camping. She enjoyed working in her garden with her flowers. She had her own wildlife sanctuary on her property. Arlene enjoyed feeding the different wildlife on her property, whether that be birds, squirrels, deer, and turkeys. With her deep love for animals, she also had her beloved dog, Della.

She is survived by her beloved family, Larry D. Tobias and his wife Patricia A. of Palmyra, Beverly J. Cooper of Red Lion, four grandchildren, Stephanie, Bethany, Christopher, and Amanda, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen Merkey, a brother, Howard Bleistein, Jr., a sister, Helen Stoudt, and her son-in-law, Stephan Cooper.
