Arlene M. Black, 90, of Lebanon, PA, entered into Heaven on Thursday, May 21, 2026, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George W. Black Jr.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on May 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lona (Kauffman) Matthes. Arlene was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church in Lebanon, where she served faithfully in many capacities. She retired from Core States Bank and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She was known for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and for always having fun.

Surviving are her children, Steven Black (Jane), Sharon Hurst (Jon), and David Black (Mandy); grandchildren, Adam Hurst (Paloma), Andrew Hurst (Joelle), Daniel Black (Nicole), and Hallie Black; and great-grandchildren, Grayson Hurst, Rory Hurst, Hudson Hurst, Addilyn Black, and Kennedy Black. In addition to her husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl Matthes, Ruth Keller, Mary Hostetter, and Lorraine Mountz.

A public visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville, is handling arrangements.
