August H. “Gus” Bomgardner, 5, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Lebanon, he was a son of Joel and Greta (Heagy) Bomgardner and a loving brother to siblings, Juliet, Georgia, and Cyrus.

Gus loved people, hugs, and singing and listening to music. He enjoyed hotdogs and chicken nuggets and going to his therapy sessions. Gus was loved by all who knew him, and he shared his love with all he came in contact with.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Nelson and Joanne Heagy; paternal grandfather, Sonny Bomgardner; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by an aunt, Kelly Elliott; and paternal grandmother, Cathy Bomgardner.

A celebration of Gus’ life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at 3 p.m. from the Cleona Camp Grove, 3854 Hill Church Road, Lebanon, PA 17046. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of his service at the Camp Grove. Following the celebration of life, fellowship and light refreshments will be held with his family.
