Barbara A. Batula, 80, of Jonestown, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center with her daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late William J. Batula.

Born in Lebanon on March 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Lillian (Capp) Huston. She retired from the Payroll Department at Fort Indiantown Gap. She enjoyed camping, going to the family cabin in Fulton Co., decorating, crafting, taking trips to Gettysburg, and watching NASCAR, especially Kevin Harvick and Bobby Allison. She also enjoyed collecting bears, moose, and Longaberger baskets.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle L., wife of Carl Fortna, of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, MiKayla, wife of Eddy Richard, of Montandon, and Mariah Mauser, of Jonestown; great-grandchildren, Domminick and Aria Mong, and Bailyn and Colton Herman; brother, Alan, husband of Kim Huston, of McConnellsburg; cousins, Linda Eyer, Dottie Jurrell, and Jim Jefferies; sisters-in-law, Marianne Morgan, and Kathy, wife of Randy Shaver; brothers-in-law, Mike, husband of Melissa Batula, and Tony, husband of Karen Batula; and several nieces, nephews, and additional cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marquetta Daubert.

Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Wenger’s Meeting House Cemetery, Jonestown.
