Barbara G. Kleinfelter, 80, of Mount Gretna, formerly of Middletown, died peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She was the loving wife of William R. “Bill” Kleinfelter, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage together.
Born in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Eleanor (Patton) Graffius. Barb, as she was affectionately known, was a dental hygienist for the Central Dauphin and Harrisburg school districts before retiring after 25 years of service. Barb was a graduate of Millersville University and Temple School of Dental Hygiene. For many years, Barb was the head of the Middletown Food Pantry. After retiring and moving to Mount Gretna, Barb was elected as Judge of Elections for Mount Gretna Borough for many years. Barb enjoyed acrylic painting and decorative arts, and this became her passion in her free time. But her greatest passion was the love for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Bill, are her sons, Todd R., husband of Cristina Kleinfelter, of Exeter Township, and Brad W., husband of Allison Kleinfelter, of Mount Gretna; daughter, Molly, wife of Daniel Harms, of Bernville; grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, and Benjamin Kleinfelter, and Mathias, Nora, and Isaac Harms; brothers, William E., husband of Ruth Graffius, of Harrisburg, and David Graffius, of Palmyra; and sisters, Kathy, wife of Douglas Hall, of New Cumberland, and Becky, wife of Roy Witmer, of Florida.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Mount Gretna Fire Company, 41 Boulevard Ave., Mount Gretna, on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. There will be a reception and time of visitation with the family following the service.
