Barbara J. Kreiser, 70, of Annville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, at her home. She was the wife of Larry L. Kreiser. On May 15, they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary.
Born in Lancaster on Aug. 15, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Olleck and Mildred (Myers) Forry.
Barbara worked as a nurse for various local nursing homes. She retired as a nurse from the Northern Lebanon School District. She was a member of Calvary Church in Lebanon. As a former member of Faith Fellowship in Cleona, she served as the Director of the Sunday School Department. She was a Sunday School teacher and loved being involved in children’s church and assisting with the church plays. She enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She loved her cats and especially spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Joshua D., and his wife, Michelle Kreiser, of Jonestown; sister, Joyce, wife of Glenn Zimmerman, of New Holland; and several nieces and a nephew.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow at Lemberger’s Cemetery, East Hanover Township.
