Barbara L. (Stahle) Fisher, 88, of Myerstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on Jan. 10, 1937, in York, PA, to the late George W. and Margaret M. (Hoffman) Stahle. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Hugh Fisher.

Barbara was a graduate of York Catholic High School. Following graduation, she attended Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing, earning her nursing diploma. She was a public health nurse working at several different hospitals and retiring from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Barbara was a faithful member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, where she was a cantor for many years. She enjoyed singing and performed in community choirs and musical productions. In addition to singing, she also played the piano and guitar. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Mary Alice Fisher, Joyce Payne, and husband, Christopher, and Judith Reinhart, and husband, Jeffrey; son, George Fisher, and wife, Tammy; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two on the way; sister, Elizabeth Wills; brother, Robert Stahle, and wife, Susan; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, 188 W. McKinley Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067, with the Reverend David Hereshko as celebrant. Inurnment will be private in Holy Savior Cemetery, Cornwall, PA.
