Barry T. Kochel, 77, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at the Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Linda A. Eberly Kochel.
Born in Reading on March 1, 1944, he was the son of the late Earl and Gladys Kochel. Barry was a graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a degree in Psychology and from Penn State with a grass management degree. He was a lifelong learner and always enjoyed taking non-credited classes online. He was the Head of Turf/Grass at the Penn State Berks campus and was instrumental in the design of the campus. He was a master gardener and he especially enjoyed working outdoors. He also served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Corrie Lynn Kochel, of North Carolina, and a brother, Richard Kochel, of Shillington.
He was preceded in death by brothers Roger and James Kochel and his sister, Patricia Kochel.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
