Beatrice E. Kreider, affectionately known as Bea, passed away on June 16, 2023, at Wyomissing Heath & Rehab.

She was born on May 30, 1927, in Avon, PA, to Owen Muth and Miriam Muth nee Hains.

Bea attended Thompson Business College and, later, worked as a secretary at Penn State University. But that was just the beginning of her accomplishments. She knitted and donated over 200 sweaters, 150 blankets, and 20 lap robes for hospice through World Vision – a testament to her kind heart and giving spirit. Bea was active with international students and made many lasting friendships.

She married Arthur S. Kreider and together they raised three children: Craig Kreider, and spouse, Robin, Karen Hartman, and spouse, Craig, and Keith Kreider, and spouse, Dawn. She is also survived by her sister, Rowena Fink; her grandchildren, Sarah Medina, Andrew McGlynn, Brianne Adams, Tara Myers, and Aaron Kreider; and her great-grandchildren Nicholas Coons, Alyssa Medina, Israel Medina, Jordan Medina, Yesenia Medina, Kyra Hartman, Kolton Adams, Keeli Adams Greta Myers, and Margot Myers. 

Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur S. Kreider; her father, Owen Muth; her mother, Miriam Muth nee Hains; and her siblings, Margaret Shilling, Inez Wolf, Harold Muth, Lita Parker, Thomas Muth, and Anna Zimmerman.

Friends may visit Bea’s family from 2-3 PM on June 30 at Christman’s Funeral Home in Lebanon, where funeral services will take place at 3 PM.

Bea will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness touched the lives of so many people throughout her life both near and far. Her memory and the impact she made on the world will live on through her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
