Beatrice M. Wolferd, 94, of the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, and formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at the home. She was the wife of the late P. Gene Wolferd.

Born in Jonestown on Sept. 22, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Kathryn Boland Kneasel.

For 15 years, she worked for the former Dutchmaid Inc. in Jonestown, and she also worked for Wert Bookbinding in Grantville. She was a member of the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jonestown, where she served on the altar guild and with the ladies’ sewing circle.

She is survived by her sons, Frederick L., husband of Rachel Wolferd, of Grantville, Keena L., husband of Robin Wolferd, of Jonestown, and Randie L. Wolferd, of Wernersville; daughter, Connie L., wife of Donald Krause, of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sharon Bensing, of Lebanon.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Chantel Wolferd; brothers, George, Earl, John, and Richard Kneasel; and sisters, Geraldine Schafebook and Elvena Schneider.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, at the Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 103 E. Market St., Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Jonestown.
