Betty J. Wentling, 88, of Myerstown, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at StoneRidge Poplar Run in Myerstown. She was the wife of Dale E. Wentling, who died in 1997.

Born in Myerstown on June 6, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Isaac J. and Ethel J. (Schaeffer) Gass. Betty was a 1950 graduate of Myerstown High School and a graduate of the Bryland Beauty School in Reading. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Myerstown, where she served in the nursery department for 50 years. Betty was employed as a secretary at Dale E. Wentling, Inc. in Myerstown.

She is survived by a sister, Helen M. Lutz, of Palmyra, and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wentling, in 1987, and a brother, George G. Gass.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Myerstown. A funeral procession will be formed Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown.
