Betty J. Young, 100, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Lebanon Valley Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George H. Young Sr.

Born in Annville, PA, on Aug. 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Waltz) Lear.

Betty was a member of Zion E.C. Church, Annville, and a member of the Area Agency on Aging. She enjoyed gardening and going on trips.

Surviving are nine children, George H. Young Jr., husband of Donna, of Lebanon, Ronald B. Young, husband of Sue, of Lebanon, William E. Young, husband of Sandy, of Galeton, Gary L. Young, husband of Ann, of Myerstown, Michael D. Young, husband of Debra, of Lebanon, Kay Heberling, wife of Thomas, of Mt. Gretna, Susan Stoner, wife of David, of Davenport, FL, Patricia Miller, wife of Jeffrey, of York, and Brenda Wentzel, wife of Joseph, of Mt. Gretna; 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Grand View Memorial Park.
