Betty Lou Mull, 96, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late Harry Mull, Jr. who passed away in 2008.
Born in Lancaster on Nov. 29, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Hayden and Lillie (Shaub) Dussinger. Betty Lou graduated from Lancaster General Hospital Nursing School and went on to work in maternity as well as private practice. She was a member of United Church of Christ in Quentin and a 50-year member of Eastern Star. She was a very happy homemaker. With her caring nature and sweet disposition, she always made people feel special and welcome. She was a wonderful person who lived her life in service of others. A pillar of her family, she will certainly be missed by those who loved her most.
Surviving is children, Daryl Mull, husband of Vicki, Randi Mull, husband of Chris, and Deborah Brown, wife of Steven, a granddaughter, Vanessa Mull, who she raised as a child, grandchildren, Matthew, Kevin, and Todd Knox, Caitlin Haldeman, Thomas Mull, and Melissa Pellman, a step-grandchild, Christin Umsted, great-grandchildren, Colby and Brooks Knox, Gavin and Dominic Knox, Damien Miller, Devyn, Astris, and Bain Bomgardner, Grady Haldeman, Charlotte Knox, and Aurora Zaldana, and a brother-in-law, Clifford Weaver. In addition to Harry, her loving husband of 61 years, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Lee Mull, a grandchild, Thomas McGoldrick, a brother, William Dussinger, and wife, Cecil, and a sister, Doris Weaver, wife of Clifford.
Funeral services will be held at graveside at the Brownstown Evangelical Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty Lou’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
