Beverly A. “Mimi” Smith, 87, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Lloyd R. Smith, with whom she would have celebrated 67 years of marriage in August.

Bev was born in Harrisburg and raised in Riverside. She was born on April 16, 1937, to the late Edward King and Elizabeth (Wynn) and her stepfather Joseph Blell.

She was a 1955 William Penn High School graduate, where she was a majorette. Early in her career, she worked at Liberty Mutual in Harrisburg and then later for her husband’s contracting business, Lebanon Home Supply. Her love of the beach came from her treasured years of living in Juno Isles, Florida. She enjoyed cooking, getting lunch with friends, going shopping, babysitting the grandchildren, and having Thursday date nights with them. She loved shopping at Gristicks (formerly Zweiers), where they would welcome her over the loudspeaker, and caring for stray cats, especially her beloved Eddie. The greatest love of Bev’s life was her family, especially her daughters and her grandchildren. She never missed one of their sporting events or concerts. She loved them dearly, and everyone knew how special they were to her. Bev attended church at Unity of Palmyra and cherished each Sunday spent there.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her beloved daughters, Vicki Smith, of Palmyra, Kimberly Motter (Jerry), of Palmyra, and Tracy Kauffman (Tom), of Lebanon; and her beloved grandchildren, Jared Motter (Allie), Kelsy Shoap (Tanner), and Taylor Kauffman.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Unity of Palmyra, 37 E. Main St., Palmyra. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to her church, address listed above, or The Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
