Beverly Ann Heisey, 77, of Fredericksburg, went home to be with Jesus, at her home on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023. She was the wife of the late Arlington Heisey and her first husband, Claudia’s father, Michael Mastrolia, of Cold Springs, NY.
Born in Reading on May 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Dieffenbach) Orendo.
Beverly graduated from Bethel High School, with the class of 1964. She was a former member of the Meckville Mennonite Church, where she was the editor of the church newsletter called the Christian Bond. She worked as a proofreader for the Daily Banner for many years, where she resided in Cambridge, MD. Her family started Dieffenbach’s Potato Chip company. She loved to paint and was an artist. While living at Palmyra Interfaith Manor, she volunteered with the Palmyra Senior Citizens Center. She was an avid Penn State football fan and baseball fan, with the NY Mets being her favorite team. Beverly liked to play guitar, loved her cats, feeding and watching the wild birds, was Nana to her grand dogs, and liked to go groundhog and coyote hunting.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia M., wife of Steve Clark, of Fredericksburg; her grandson, Seth M. Clark; her brother, James Orendo, of Jonestown; and her stepsisters, Lisa, wife of Dave Allman, of Longmont, CO, and Joyce, wife of Lee Fields, of Milton, GA.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Orendo Jr.; her sister, Joanne Orendo; and her stepmother, Carol Orendo.
Memorial services will be on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Jonestown United Methodist Church, 109 W. Market St., Jonestown. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till the start of the service. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
