Beverly J. “Joan” Atkins, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday November 5, 2019 at Countryside Christian Community. She was the wife of the late Norman Lee Atkins, who passed in 2008.

Joan was born in Milton, PA on August 18, 1933 to the late Budd and Mabel (Campbell) Beatty. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Diamond United Methodist Church in Hazleton. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, going out to eat, shopping, reading, watching the news, football and baseball, and had a love for her dogs.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Atkins and his wife Susan of Lebanon, grandchildren, Evan Ostroksi, Jessie Schwalm-Eichelberger and her husband James, Kimberly Atkins and her fiance Tony Shalters, great grandchildren Tristan Schwalm, Grace Schwalm, Paxton Schwalm, Cole Shalters, Jordan Shalters, Jackson Atkins, and Gemma Shalters, and her daughter-in-law, Christine Atkins. She was preceded in death by her son Michael Atkins and her brother Gene Beatty.
