Beverly M. Buck, 85, of Cleona, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at Alpine Valley in Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Paul L. Buck, who passed away on Jan. 26, 2025.
Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Handfest) Rozman.
Bev graduated with her nursing degree from Lancaster General Nursing School and worked for several years as a registered nurse. She later became the church secretary for St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Annville during the tenure of the late Msgr. Thomas H. Smith and priests following his tenure. Bev was an active member of St. Paul’s, where she served as the liturgical assistant, trained many fellow parishioners to become lectors and Eucharist ministers, and was a member of the prayer group. She had a very calming demeanor and was very people-oriented. She and her late husband, Paul, enjoyed traveling to St. Ann’s Cathedral in Quebec on bus trips as well as visiting numerous monasteries on their travels. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Karen M., wife of Tony Batula, of Cleona; five grandchildren, Dr. Alyssa Batula, PhD, and husband, Dr. Cameron Fackler, PhD, Eric Buck, and wife, Katie, Andrew Batula, and wife, Christie Yurkovic, Angela, wife of Brian LaChance, and Nathan Buck; great-grandson, Miles LaChance; great-granddaughter, Madelyn LaChance; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Buck.
Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Paul Buck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11 a.m., from St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville. Inurnment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass at the Church.
